Chi Phi Returning to Wisconsin |

I am pleased to announce that the University of Wisconsin and the Intra-fraternity Council have approved our request to return Chi Phi to campus. This is the first step in the critical process of our re-colonization effort. I believe that this will require as much effort and commitment as that of our forebears some 95 years ago when they first brought Chi Phi to Madison.
I want to assure you that your board is committed to work hard to realize this goal. We will return Chi Phi to a place of leadership on campus. We will restore Chi Phi's reputation as the finest brotherhood at the University of Wisconsin. And we will build a chapter that honors those that came before us. We'll do all of this because we are Chi Phis!
What better way to celebrate Chi Phi's green light to re-colonize its Kappa Chapter than by having a party?
We have scheduled a dinner event at 7 p.m. January 15 at the historic Madison Club along Monona Terrace. It will serve as a kickoff for the Madison Chi Phi Alumni Club, Madison Chapter Advisory Committee, and will be a social event, not a fundraiser.
Wives/girlfriends are welcome and jacket is required. Brother Andrew DeMarco '90 is serving as our gracious host.
The early response to this event has been outstanding, so don't miss the chance to reunite with brothers from many eras. Please contact alumni club chairman John Morton '86 at mortonalimb@yahoo.com or at (414) 313-2720 to RSVP. All brothers, with an e-mail address on our list, will receive an electronic invitation as well, featuring more details on the event and menu information.
Similar events are being planned in Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis, and elsewhere. Yes, Chi Phi is back on the move. So, let's have a toast to old Chi Phi! See you on January 15 in Madison.
In the bond,
Jim Trotter '78 |
